Making the turn. I captured these photos while our car was broke down. We waited about an hour before someone came by with jumper cables. This action was quick and I was handholding a 300mm f/2.8 with tc2.0. Wish I had gotten my tripod out. Next time I will use it liberally.

  • All the little turtles all in a row.
  • First time I have seen a heron catch and eat a crawdad.

  • You can see that the heron has catch quite a big boy there.
  • Little closer view.
  • Lots like the male osprey wants to have some fun.

  • Just taking off after having some fun with his girlfriend.
  • Lots of osprey activity during the two days we were there.
  • In for a landing. This has got to be the right time of year to view these birds. I bet we saw at least a dozen or more.

  • The chase is just about over now.
  • Lone eagle perched on a dead tree. We waited about 20 minutes are more for it to take off. When he did I missed the shot and he flew in the wrong direction.

  • We saw this guy when leaving the Hyatt in Cambridge, MD. The Hyatt is a little pricey but it was a nice get away for the two of us.
