One of my most favorite times during the Lake Clark tour was taking the Puffin trip to the rock island. The traveled seas of 4-6 foot wave pounding us inside the cabin. The wind blew and It rained so hard that at times you couldn't see. Really a challenging experience for all. I was surprised that I got some really good photos considering.

  • This is one of two of my favorite shots of the Puffin trip. It was a difficult photo to take with the harsh rain and rocking boat. The puffin that took off is slightly out of focus but I worked on it to get a decent picture out of it.<br /> <br /> "I love this stuff!" is the new motto for us!

  • During the trip at the Puffin Island we passed by this cave twice and I was able to capture a decent photo as this guy as he spread his wings. With the low light and rough weather I set camera up for what I thought might work. 1/640 shutter, f/4.0, 6400 ISO got the job done.
